West Performance 2 & 3

Performance Level 2 (UTR 4.0–6.9) is for players training 3–4 times per week and actively competing in tournaments. Athletes refine multidirectional movement, quick reactions, and balanced recovery to support a more complete game. Technical priorities include mastery of grips, reliable and aggressive serves and returns, and precision in both baseline and net play. Players focus on shot selection, tactical point construction, and seamless transition from defense to offense while learning to adapt mid-match. Character growth centers on measurable goal setting, personal discipline, coachability, and sportsmanship, with a recommended tournament schedule of 2–3 events per month.

Performance Level 3 (UTR 2.0–3.9) is designed for players who train 2–3 times per week and are committed to competitive development. Athletes in this group focus on building foundational footwork, balance, and movement with an emphasis on split steps, quick reactions, and recovery. Technical goals include improving spin, control, and depth on groundstrokes, developing consistent first and second serves, and refining return, volley, and overhead skills. Players begin learning how to construct points using spin, pace, and placement, while developing awareness of their own strengths and how to counter opponents. Character development includes goal setting, coachability, and mental preparation, with a recommended competition schedule of 1–2 events per month.
