About this event

Pathway To Play: Development – Match Play

Duration: 60 minutes

Skill Level: Recreational

Punch Pass Eligible: Yes

Description:

The Pathway To Play: Development – Match Play class is a guided, game-focused session designed to bridge the gap between skill development and confident participation in open play. This class places players in real match situations while coaches actively guide strategy, decision-making, and court awareness.

Rather than isolated drills, players will participate in structured match play that reinforces scoring, positioning, communication, and shot selection. Coaches provide real-time feedback, pause play when needed to explain concepts, and help players understand why certain decisions work better in specific situations.

This class ensures players feel comfortable with the flow of games, court rotation, and expectations of open play; removing uncertainty and building confidence.

What to Expect:

Scoring formats, match flow, and point structure

Court rotation and effective partner communication

Basic match strategy and shot selection

Live match play with on-court coaching feedback

Open play etiquette and court awareness

This class is ideal for players who want to feel prepared, confident, and comfortable stepping into open play, leagues, or social matches without hesitation.
