Pathway To Play - Serve & Return

About this event

Pathway To Play: Development – Serve & Serve Return

Duration: 60 minutes

Skill Level: Recreational

Punch Pass Eligible: Yes

Description:

The Pathway To Play: Development – Serve & Serve Return class focuses on helping recreational players start each point with confidence, consistency, and purpose . Since every rally begins with the serve and return, this session is designed to eliminate common errors and give players a reliable plan from the very first shot.

Players will learn proper serve mechanics and rules while developing repeatable motion and placement. On the return side, emphasis is placed on depth, positioning, and preparing for the transition to the net. Structured drills and live-ball scenarios help players apply these skills in realistic point-start situations.

Coaches provide real-time feedback to correct technique, reinforce smart decision-making, and build habits that translate directly into match play and open play success.

What to Expect:

Breakdown of legal serve mechanics and consistency

Serve placement strategies to gain an early advantage

Return technique focused on depth and control

Positioning and movement after the return

Transitioning forward and understanding point-start strategy

This class is ideal for players who want to reduce service errors, improve their first two shots, and take control of points from the start.
