Third Shot Mastery Clinic: Drop, Drive, Decide

About this event

Third Shot Mastery: Drop, Drive, Decide

The third shot is the hardest ball in pickleball and the one that decides most points—it's your one chance to erase the serving team's disadvantage and get to the kitchen. This clinic makes that shot a strength instead of a stress point.

We'll build both weapons in the third-shot toolkit: a soft, arcing drop that lands in the kitchen and lets you move up, and a firm drive that pressures your opponents and sets up the fifth. More importantly, you'll learn when to use each one—reading the height and depth of the return so you're choosing your shot on purpose instead of hoping it works out.

Expect focused rep work on both shots, plus the piece most players skip: what to do after the third. We'll drill moving in behind the drop, resetting when your shot floats, and turning a good third into a clean arrival at the line.

Great for players who can serve and rally but keep getting stuck at the baseline or popping the third up under pressure. Leave with a repeatable third-shot routine—and the judgment to know which shot the moment calls for.

Grab a friend and sign up together—this clinic needs at least 2 participants to run, so bring a partner and make it a team effort!
