Beat the Bangers Clinic

About this event

Beat the Bangers: Taking the Sting Out of Power

Everybody knows a banger—the player who hits everything as hard as they can and dares you to handle it. This clinic is about turning that power against them. When you can absorb pace and reset the point, the banger's biggest weapon becomes their biggest liability.

You'll drill the core defensive skills that neutralize hard hitters: soft hands and the compact block volley, resetting a fast ball back into the kitchen from anywhere on the court, and reading speedups early so you're never caught flat-footed. We'll also cover the mental side—staying patient, taking pace off instead of matching it, and baiting the banger into the low-percentage shot they love to hit.

Expect fast, repetitive rep work with balls coming at you hard on purpose, so the block and reset become second nature under real pressure. Great for players who get rushed or overpowered in the transition zone and at the line, and want to stop flinching and start counterpunching.

Walk away able to take a big drive, calmly drop it at their feet, and watch the frustration set in.

Grab a friend and sign up together—this clinic needs at least 2 participants to run, so bring a partner and make it a team effort!
