Mixed Doubles Waterfall Tournament

About this event

The SCHH Pickleball Club Competitive Play Committee is pleased to announce our next Waterfall event on Tuesday, November 17 . This Waterfall will be all Mixed Doubles with 32 teams divided into 16 team Upper and Lower brackets based on DUPR ratings . After the entry deadline, the teams will be divided into the two brackets and starting time information will be sent a few days prior to the event.

● Lower Mixed Doubles – 4:00 PM

● Upper Mixed Doubles – 6:00 PM

Format Overview

This event will use a 16-team Waterfall / Compass Draw , designed to provide multiple competitive matches and meaningful play for nearly all participants.

● With 16 teams in each bracket, all teams are guaranteed four matches

● Initial seeding is based on combined team DUPR ratings

How it works

● 16 teams start in a single bracket

● Winners of the Round of 16 move to the Blue bracket; losers move to the White

● Winners in Blue and White matches advance to medal rounds

● Losers from Blue and White form Red and Black brackets, also competing for medals

Once teams move into the four brackets of four, matchups should be well balanced and competitive.

Match Format

● One game to 15 , win by 2

● Teams switch sides at 8 points

● The lower-seeded team chooses serve or side to start

DUPR Requirements & Seeding

● All players must have a DUPR account prior to entry

● DUPR ID and rating must be included on the entry form

● Teams are seeded by combined DUPR rating

○ Example: 3.3 + 3.4 = 6.7 team rating
