Tournament Prep with Maura

About this event

Join us for this fun affordable clinic designed for those that are thinking about entering your first tournament or for those that play then and want feedback ? This class is for you!

Pickleball is about more than hitting good shots. It’s about understanding the game, making smart decisions, managing momentum, and learning how to compete with confidence.

We’ll cover key tournament topics such as:

Tournament flow : should I take serve or side, how to use time out, good warm up options

Understanding Game Flow: Recognize patterns, anticipate your opponents’ next move, and understand how points develop.

Controlling Momentum: Know when to call time outs, manage a run of the other team , and how to close out a game for the win!

Playing Under Pressure: Manage nerves, recover from mistakes, and stay focused when the score gets tight.

Playing with a Partner: Communicate effectively, establish roles, cover the court, and work together when things get challenging.

Building Confidence: Develop a game plan, recognize your strengths, and learn how to compete without overthinking every shot.

Winning the Mental Game: Learn how to handle a lead, fight back when behind, and avoid giving away points through frustration or rushed decisions.

Whether you’re considering your first tournament or simply want to become a smarter, more confident player, this class will help you approach the game with greater purpose.

PLEASE NOTE:

We will be ON Court but this will be much of a discussion and less actual game play..
