2026 Squamish In-House TEAM Squash Memorial Tournament

About this event

On Sunday, Dec 6th , we'll be hosting our fifth annual in-house Memorial TEAM tournament, and you're invited .

This team-style tournament has turned out to be some serious fun in the past, and are excited to be back with the Dec 2026 edition!

We started this tournament in 2022 in memory of one of our beloved squash members, Neil Metcalf. Since then, we have lost several other members (Brian Pollock, Paul Marlatt, Don Gunn) and renamed this the Memorial Team Tournament. They are missed by many.

December Team Tourney Format/Details:

Sunday, Dec 6th, we will play from 9am to about 5pm. Everyone will get 2 matches.

There are 4 teams of 7 players (doing the math, that means there are only 28 spots, so sign up early to avoid disappointment )

Team 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4, and then the two winning teams (based on games won, not matches won!) will play each other and the two losing teams will play each other.

Matches are "best of 5" games, meaning whoever wins 3 games first, wins the match. However, every game win counts , so losing in 5 is way better for your team than losing in 3 :)

This is a tournament for ALL levels. As long as you're willing to play games - for points... until someone wins 3 games - you can enter

The seeding of the tournament will be done via ClubLocker ranking points - top 4 entrants will be tier 1, next 4 entrants will be tier 2, etc.

In past iterations, this event has gotten silly (think: costumes and team bingo).
