Goodlife Ladder - South Courts (Paul McKittrick)

About this event

Coordinator/Facilitator - Paul McKittrick, [email protected]

Come and join the fun with the Goodlife Pickleball Ladder. This is a mixed event for both women and men of all levels – beginner, intermediate and advanced players. This style of play ensures that players with similar skills or the same ranking are playing in the same court.

The Ladder is every Monday from 8:00 am to 10:30 am at the South pickleball courts (by the dog park).

This event will have five players on each court. Each court will play two Round Robins. Each Round Robin will have five games (i.e. each player will play four games and have one bye in each Round Robin). The first team who scores 9 points wins the game (i.e. games to 9, win by one ).

The format for this Ladder is designed such that players with similar skills or the same ranking are playing in the same court . These Ladder games should NOT be intimidating – they should be fun! As a player’s skills improve over the season, they might move into courts with players who have a similar ranking.

A new feature that we will try out this year will be that players who miss one or more weeks of play will not get penalized - but will retain their ranking from their last week of play. When they return to Ladder play, their last Ladder rank will be used to place them with similarly ranked players.

There will be weekly statistics published to all of the participants.
