FOOD BANK CHARITY TOURNAMENT: MLP WITH A TWIST

Choose to be a hero and help feed those in need while you get your pickle on!

Start putting together a team of two men and two women for an MLP-style tournament with a twist.

How registration works

* Registration is by team, not by individual player.

* Your team captain registers the whole team.

* The fee is $100 per team.

* Every team goes onto a waitlist first. Once a coordinator approves your team, you'll be asked to pay.

* No team but still want to play? Email Stephanie Nash at [email protected] and she'll add you to the waitlist.

Divisions and team points

Your team's division depends on the four players' DUPR ratings added together.

How each player's rating is counted:

* We use the player's DUPR rating, as long as its reliability is 60% or higher.

* That DUPR is rounded down to the nearest club rating level (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and so on). For example, 3.25 counts as 3.0, and 4.45 counts as 4.0.

The divisions:

* Division A: team total above 12 points, up to a maximum of 15.0.

* Division B: team total of 12 points or less.

Example of a Division A team:

* Player 1: DUPR 4.21, counts as 4.0

* Player 2: DUPR 3.95, counts as 3.5

* Players 3 and 4: DUPR 3.42 each, count as 3.0 each

* Team total: 13.5 points, so Division A

You’ll be notified to pay once your team is approved to participate.

Team captains

Each team picks a captain. The captain registers the team and attends a meeting with the board to go over how the tournament will run.
