Pickleballerz Team Pickleball (3.5+)

About this event

Pickleballerz Team Pickleball League

We are excited to relaunch our Pickleballerz Team Pickleball League, inspired by the popular Major League Pickleball (MLP).

Teams will consist of four players (two women and two men) with a skill rating of 3.5 or higher. Each team will select a captain to register the team in the league. The captain will list the three other team members during online registration.

Cannot have more than 2 players with an in-house rating of 4.0 or higher on a team .

The planned league structure will consist of 6 teams. Each team will play every other team once. Standings will be determined by: #1 Matchup Win Percentage (including tiebreakers), #2 Head-to-Head Matchup, #3 Game Point Differential.

Six games will be played in each match against another team: one women's doubles, one men's doubles, and four mixed doubles (each man and each woman will play with each other). Each game is a rally-scoring game to 21 points, and the winner is decided by a 1-point margin.

A point is awarded after every rally, whether the serving or receiving team wins. However, a team must win by one on their serve; therefore, a temporary “freeze” can occur if the non-serving team wins the rally (their winning point would not count, as they must serve to win). Trailing teams never freeze and continue rally scoring. If the score is tied at 20 or higher, rally scoring is in effect. To win, a team must win by one and serve to win.

If there is a tie between the two teams after all matches…
