Pickleball 102: Next Steps Clinic Series

3-Week Series · 2 Hours per Session (Once a week for 3 weeks)

This clinic series is designed for beginner players who have already completed an Intro to Pickleball session and are ready to take the next step in their development.

The goal of this series is to help players move from simply hitting the ball to understanding how to actually play the game. Players will build confidence while learning the key fundamentals, positioning, and simple tactics that make rallies longer and games more enjoyable.

SESSION 1 — FUNDAMENTALS & BUILDING THE RALLY

Players will review important fundamentals such as grips, court positioning, and forehand and backhand technique. The session focuses on building consistency from the baseline and learning how to sustain a controlled rally.

SESSION 2 — GETTING TO THE NET & THE KITCHEN

This session focuses on why getting to the non-volley zone line (the kitchen) is one of the most important concepts in pickleball. Through drills and coached play, players will learn how to move forward with purpose, understand basic dinking, and hold their ground at the net.

SESSION 3 — THE FIRST THREE SHOTS & GAMEPLAY

This session breaks down the serve, the return, and the third shot. Players will learn how to hit deeper serves and returns to gain time and positioning, as well as how to play a controlled third shot. The session wraps up by putting everything together in real game situations.
