Open Play Novice to Low Int.

About this event

NOVICE TO Low INTERMEDIATE OPEN PLAY

For players who are newer to pickleball, building confidence, or progressing into low intermediate-level games. This session is designed for friendly rallies, mixed partners, developing strategy, and a welcoming open play environment where players can grow their game without the pressure of highly competitive match play.

Session Details

Format: Open Play

Skill Level: Novice to Low Intermediate

How It Works:

Game Scoring: Games are played to a hard 11 — first to 11 wins (no win by 2 required).

Shared Rack Setup: Two racks are designated for the session: one for Winners and one for Runners-Up.

Paddle Queue: After each game, winners place their paddles in the Winners rack, and runners-up place their paddles in the Runners-Up rack.

Court Rotation: A magnet shows which rack sends the next foursome onto the next available court, flipping to the other rack each round.

Partner Mixing: New game, new partners. Split from your last partner and team up with someone you haven't played with yet.

Multi-Court Play: If the session uses multiple courts, the same two racks are shared across all assigned courts for this open play.

Important: Choosing partners or staying in a fixed group is not permitted during any social open play session.

Level Expectations

This session is ideal for players who want a social, supportive game environment while continuing to improve their skills and comfort on court.

Recommended Level: Novice, beginner, advanced beginner, low intermediate.
