Drill Squad "lite" - 2.5 to 3.0

About this event

Drill Squad "Lite" for Players 2.5 to 3.0

This 1 hour session is focused on DRILLING and is intended for players who already know how to play pickleball.

Why drill? Drilling provides the foundation of skills, while playing allows for the application of those skills in a competitive environment.

Drilling helps players improve muscle memory for various shots. Repetition through drilling builds consistency in shot execution. Practicing in a non-stressful environment allows the player to focus on mechanics.

So if you are a player who wants to drill and work on various aspects of your game – this session is for you!!

Drills - a selection from below will be implemented in the 1 hour session depending upon player input.

“Dinkles” - work on soft shots and put aways at the NVZ.

Approach Shots – start at the baseline and work your way to the NVZ using drop shots and resets.

Serves, Returns, Drops & Drives – work on placement & depth of serves & returns then the 3 rd and 5 th shots (drops, drives).

Lobs and Overheads –chasing down & return lobs; make lobs; put away overheads.

Volleys at the NVZ – hand speed

Skinny Singles – great way to incorporate all aspects of the drills

These drills can be scaled for 2 players, 3 players or 4 players.

Music may be played to make the sessions fun!
