Beginner & Intermediate Open Play

About this event

For Beginners and Intermediates - This is a facilitated group play session suited for Beginner AND Intermediate players! The groups are "separate but united."

Each week may look different depending on the number and skill level of players registered.

In general, Intermediate players will be on courts #1 & #2 and Beginners will be on court #5. It will depend on how many players are registered and how many are Beginners or Intermediates. There is a facilitator/coach to help guide the event. A coach will be on the Beginner court. There MAY be opportunities to work on a specific skill or to do some drills on the Beginner court. Rotation formats may vary.

Beginner players need not fear! It will be like you have your own personal coach! A coach is there each week to answer questions and provide helpful tips. Come play, learn, and become more comfortable playing pickleball.

Intermediate players need not fear! This is primarily an Intermediate group. Depending on the players registered, you may or may not play with a beginner on your court. If you do end up playing with a beginner, use that as an opportunity to work on drops, better ball placement or whatever you'd like to work on (slams might not be a good idea). Everyone always wants to play "up" and this is your chance to be the "up" and help out a beginner.
