Pickleball Drills and Gameplay 3.5+ - Transition Defense (West)

About this event

Pickleball Drills and Gameplay

In this clinic, we’ll spend the first hour focusing on a specific skill through various drills. During the second hour, we’ll apply these skills in game situations and specific scenarios. Regardless of your skill level, someone will always hit a hard ball at you—so it’s essential to be prepared. When you get caught mid-court or under attack, panicking and swinging back hard only leads to unforced errors.

This week, we will concentrate on mastering transition defense: learning how to absorb incoming pace, execute controlled soft blocks and resets, and re-route hard-hit balls back into the kitchen. We’ll work on proper footwork and body compression, paddle face control, and understanding the decision-making triggers for when to reset vs. when to counter-attack.
