Come join us at Pickleball for Parkinson’s at RECS Clackamas.

This play session is for anyone who is experiencing Parkinson's Disease and has a basic understanding of how to play Pickleball. For those looking to learn how to play Pickleball, we encourage you to register for our Intro to Pickleball Clinic, which we offer weekly.

Why Pickleball? Research consistently supports exercise as one of the most effective tools for managing Parkinson's symptoms — and pickleball checks a lot of the right boxes. The sport improves balance, coordination, and reaction time, all of which are commonly affected by Parkinson's. The hand-eye coordination required during play engages the brain and body simultaneously, which helps with motor control and cognitive function. The social nature of the game also supports mental health and reduces isolation, which matters just as much. And because Pickleball is lower-impact than many sports, it's accessible without being easy — keeping you active and challenged at a pace that works for you.

Format: Round Robin — players are assigned a number and rotate through 12-minute games.

Audience: Players with Parkinson's Disease who have a basic understanding of Pickleball

Skill Level: Beginner – Recreational

Group Play events might have a Bye depending on the amount of player sign-ups. All sign-ups guarantee play, so you will never break more than 12 minutes at a time.
