About this event

HS Competitive (Grades 9–12)

HS Competitive is designed for intermediate to advanced high school players who already have a solid foundation and are ready to take their pickleball game to a higher competitive level.

This fast-paced program emphasizes advanced skill development, strategy, point construction, court positioning, and competitive match play . Players will refine their ability to execute shots consistently while learning when and how to use them effectively in competitive situations.

Training will focus on serves and returns, third-shot drops and drives, transition play, dinking patterns, speed-ups and counters, resets, attacking and defending, partner movement, and advanced doubles strategy . Players will also develop stronger shot selection, anticipation, and tactical decision-making under pressure.

Coached drills and competitive play will challenge players to become more consistent, aggressive, strategic, and confident competitors . The program is ideal for players interested in tournament competition, improving their DUPR rating, or preparing to compete at a higher level.

Players should be able to rally consistently, serve and return reliably, sustain points at the kitchen, and demonstrate an understanding of scoring, positioning, and basic strategy.
