The Night Session Open Play (Intermediate)

About this event

Open play at Apex Pickleball in Murfreesboro is the heartbeat of the facility, designed for players who want to show up and get into a game without needing to organize a full group of four.

Because Apex operates as a premier club in the area, their open play is more structured than a typical park "drop-in" to ensure better game flow and skill matching.

How Open Play Works

Unlike private court reservations, Open Play is a communal session where players rotate on and off the courts using a paddle rack or "challenge" system.

The Format: Typically, games are played to 11 (win by 2). Once a match finishes, all four players vacate the court, and the next four paddles in the rack take their place.

Skill Leveling: Sessions are often categorized by skill so you’re matched with players of a similar pace. If players around your level aren't signing up for a particular session the intermediate session is likely to have room.

Social Nature: It is highly social. It’s common to rotate partners and meet different members of the local Murfreesboro pickleball community.
