3.5+ Open Play

About this event

Test your skills against other upper-intermediate or above players in intense and fun games! Players should be familiar with upper-intermediate concepts and execution. Players should be able to keep drives low, be familiar with third-shot drops, and be able to generally place a ball where intended.

Players are expected to know the rules and scoring of pickleball. When the player arrives, the front desk will check in players with reservations, and front desk personnel will notify the player of which courts will be used for an open play. Once checked in, players can place their paddle in the rack near court three to queue themselves to play in the open play if no court is immediately available. Games will be played until the first team reaches nine points, win by one. Players that win a match will stay on the court with their partner and split up to different side of the court for the following game. The players on the losing team will rotate off the court, and players waiting with their paddles in the rack will rotate in. If a player wins two games a row, and there are more than two players waiting to play, then that player will rotate off the court in addition to the two players that lost the game. To determine serve, the team closest to the wall will serve first. The last step is to play and enjoy yourself!
